Our New Pioneers Project Men’s Lab recently joined forces with The King’s Trust team for a busy and enjoyable day at Spotland Community Centre.
The King’s Trust participants were given a special challenge: to teach another group new skills, interact with new people and work together as a team. Challenge accepted—and absolutely smashed!
Everyone took part, shared their knowledge and supported one another throughout the activities. The session created a friendly environment where participants could practise communication, build confidence and experience the value of teamwork.
New Pioneers Project has worked closely with The King’s Trust for several years. Through this partnership, we have supported young people who needed opportunities to gain practical workplace experience.
Participants have developed skills in a variety of areas, including administration, customer service, catering, community events and other practical roles. Some have also continued volunteering with New Pioneers Project after completing their programme, allowing them to gain further experience and remain connected with their community.
Opportunities like these help young people recognise their strengths, improve their CVs and take positive steps towards employment, education or further training.
A big thank you to The King’s Trust team, our Men’s Lab members and everyone who took part and made the day such a success.
