Growing Greener Communities Together
Gardening is about much more than planting flowers and vegetables. It’s about building friendships, improving wellbeing and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.
Whether you’re looking to spend more time outdoors, learn practical gardening skills or simply meet new people, our Garden Projects offer something for everyone.
New Pioneers Community Garden
Our flagship community garden at Spotland Community Centre is a place where local people come together to grow food, support biodiversity and improve their health and wellbeing.
In 2025, the garden achieved Level 5 – Outstanding, the highest possible award in the It’s Your Neighbourhood (IYN) Awards, part of Britain in Bloom North West.
Rochdale Railway Station Community Garden
New Pioneers Project is proud to be a Rochdale Station Adopter, working in partnership with Calder Valley Line Community Rail Partnership to care for and develop the community garden at Rochdale Railway Station.
The garden brings people together to learn new skills, improve wellbeing and create a welcoming green space for everyone.
