Our Learning Lab Homework Club recently enjoyed a fascinating educational session all about rocks, minerals and gemstones.

The session gave children the opportunity to explore different types of rocks, learn how they are formed, and discover what makes gemstones so special. Through discussion, observation and hands-on learning, students were encouraged to ask questions, think critically and develop their curiosity about the natural world.

Experiences like these help bring learning to life and show that education can be both informative and fun. By introducing children to new topics and encouraging exploration, we aim to inspire a lifelong love of learning.

A special thank you goes to our wonderful volunteer, Maureen, who generously shared her knowledge, experience and passion with our students. Her engaging presentation provided a unique learning opportunity and helped make the session both memorable and enjoyable.

We are incredibly grateful for the dedication of our volunteers, whose skills, expertise and enthusiasm enrich our programmes and help create meaningful experiences for young people.

Thank you, Maureen, for your continued support and for inspiring our young learners.
